Research Notes: Dennis was married to Mary born in 1790. Michael, his son, was married to Mary, born in 1830. All of them were born in Ireland.
I found Michael and his Mary in Pennsylvania in the 1860 and 1870 census records in Pennsylvania where he was a coal miner.
I found no record of his father, Dennis, and his mother Mary, until Michael and his wife Mary and their children are found in the 1880 census residing with his father, a farmer, in Greensville County, Virginia.
Dennis was the first to die and be buried in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Petersburg. Next to him is a Mary who died in 1884.
We have assumed that this is Dennis' wife since she was the oldest Mary. This would have made her 94 when she died.
Next to Mary was buried the other Mary, who died in 1888. If this was Michael's wife, she would have been 58 when she died.
Next to the second Mary is buried Michael, Dennis' son
More research is needed to figure out which Mary is which.
